How do I apply for funding with Wayflyer?

When applying for funding with Wayflyer, we'll need to connect your business platforms and verify your company information. The entire process can be completed online in minutes, and you can receive a funding decision within 24 hours. Needed Information:

The required information for your business will vary based on the type of business you operate. Here is a quick breakdown of all the types of connections, documentation, and verifications which may be required.

eCommerce platform connections:

If you perform sales online, this is a required connection for Wayflyer funding. We have direct connections available with the below platforms.

  • Shopify

  • Amazon

  • WooCommerce

  • BigCommerce

  • Stripe

Note: If you are performing online sales with a different platform, we may still be able to work with you via banking and analytics integrations, however we cannot guarantee support for unsupported platforms. Please reach out to our sales or support teams to discuss your specific situation and utilized platforms.

Bank accounts:

Wayflyer requires insight into all business bank accounts for companies looking to receive funding from Wayflyer. We utilize Plaid when connecting bank accounts located in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands and France. In Australia and New Zealand we use Basiq.

If you are working with a bank that does not have a direct integration available with these platforms we may be able to support you still with PDF bank statements for the last 6-12 months of operating history.

Analytics and Marketing integrations:

Based on the type of business you are operating we may require marketing and analytic platform integrations. If this is a requirement for your account we will either request it during your application, or reach out after underwriting review with a request to connect your platforms.

If you are using any marketing or analytics platforms and are able to connect them during your application process, please do so. This can reduce delays during the underwriting process if they become required during your review.

Verification Information:

To verify your account, we use automated platforms when possible. If your company cannot be identified automatically, we will request your incorporation documentation.

We will also require user authentication, via ID and selfie verification during the contract signing step for all UBOs and authorized signers of the contract.

Process for applying:

To get started with your funding application, visit app.wayflyer.com and create your account. If you have questions about eligibility or need assistance, please reach out to [email protected].

Once started you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Create your Wayflyer account
    ​Sign up with your business email and create a secure password.

  2. Provide your business information
    ​This includes your business name, country of incorporation (state/province where relevant), contact details, business type, and average monthly revenue

  3. Connect your platforms
    ​Link any needed eCommerce, accounting, banking, and marketing platforms for your business

  4. Review and submit
    ​Our system will run automated checks on your connected data. If any additional information is needed, we'll reach out.

Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by our underwriting team, typically within 24 hours. Be on the lookout for emails from [email protected], as we will reach out if any additional information or documentation is required.

When your application is approved, you'll receive personalized funding offers in your account. You can then review the terms, select your preferred offer, and receive funds in your account within 1-3 business days after signing.

Is there any obligation to accept an offer if I apply for funding?

The funding offers generated create no obligation for the applicant to accept during the offer review stage. Because of this we are unable to guarantee any funding amount prior to an application being completed and reviewed by our underwriting team.

How much funding can I get from Wayflyer?

We can provide up to $20 million in funding. Each company is analysed on a case by case basis so once you sign up and connect your platforms, we will create the best tailored offers for you.

Can I reapply for funding if my application is declined?

If your funding application is declined we will let you know. We will also outline what steps you can take to improve your eligibility (where applicable) and when you can reapply for funding.

How are the funding offers generated?

Funding offers are based on several factors, including your financial performance and historic marketing performance. The more revenue you generate and the better your marketing performance, the more funding that will be available to you.
