What is Early Payment Access?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Early Payment Access allows you to receive your Shopify or Amazon payouts up to 3 days early. When Wayflyer detects an eligible payout, you can choose to receive the funds instantly in your Wayflyer Banking account, helping you manage cash flow and pay suppliers faster.

How Early Payment Access works

Early Payment Access (EPA) gives Wayflyer Banking customers the option to receive pending store payouts 1–3 days before they would normally arrive. This feature is optional, and can be selected for individual payments, so you are able to access your payouts when you need them.

To make Early Payment Access available, you’ll first need to route your Shopify or Amazon payouts to your Wayflyer Banking account.

Once connected, Wayflyer automatically detects when a payout from your store is scheduled.

When an eligible payout is identified, you’ll see an Early Payment offer in your Wayflyer Banking dashboard. The offer shows:

  • The payout amount available for early access

  • The fee that would be applied (should you opt for early payout)

  • The original settlement date

If you accept the offer, funds are deposited into your Wayflyer account within seconds.

When your original payout from Shopify or Amazon arrives, usually 3 days later, Wayflyer automatically collects the original payment from the payment processor on the standard settlement date, no action is needed from you. We also take our fee then.

When to use Early Payment Access

Early Payment Access is helpful if you:

  • Want faster access to your Shopify or Amazon earnings

  • Need to pay for inventory, ads, or payroll before your standard payout date

You can use it anytime. Using EPA does not affect your existing store connection or payout setup.

Eligibility and payment limits

To use Early Payment Access, you must have an active Wayflyer Banking account in good standing (meaning no ongoing payment disputes or outstanding collections), and you will need to route your Shopify or Amazon payouts to your Wayflyer Banking Account. Currently this offering is only for payouts from Shopify and Amazon, but we hope to expand to more partners in the future.

Transaction specifics:

  • Maximum early payout: $30,000 per transaction

  • Funds are sent to your Wayflyer banking account

Fees and repayment

What does it cost?

For each Early Access Payment, we charge a small, transparent fee which will be clearly detailed in the offer before you accept. The fee is a very small percentage of the transaction value, less than 1%. It is the same for all merchants and doesn’t change based off of the number of transactions you have accessed early. You can also find details of this fee specified in your deposit agreement. This fee is our only charge for providing your funds ahead of schedule.

Do I need to do anything after I accept an offer?

No. Once you accept an offer, the process is completely automated. We give you the funds for a transaction early and then Wayflyer collects the original payment from the payment processor on the standard settlement date, usually about 3 days later. We take our fee then, on the day the original transaction settles and we receive the funds. You get your funds early and we handle the rest, so you can get back to running your business.
